Families Need Fathers

CAMPAIGNS & PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Families Need Fathers is not just a pastoral care organisation. We also carry out campaigning and public affairs work to try and change things. We do this so that in the future all children can grow up with the love and guidance of both parents following divorce and separation. Currently, far too often children are denied this relationship.

By joining Families Need Fathers you will be giving your support to the campaigning work of the charity.

We are working hard to make sure that both parents can be involved in their children's lives after separation and that they both share responsibility for their children. We want to ensure that children are not denied a full, loving relationship with both parents.

As a campaigning charity, FNF is widely recognised as the voice of parents living apart from their children (known as non-resident parents) and we are the leading shared parenting charity. We are working to get a fairer deal for children of separated parents and have achieved changes in the law.

FNF is active in highlighting the problems faced by non-resident parents in particular, and in influencing public opinion by raising awareness of how the current family justice system and social policy can fail separated families, and the effect this has on parents and children alike.

For our campaigns to be effective, we rely on members telling us what they are experiencing and making their own opinions heard. This is vital to FNF’s status as an authority when being consulted on matters related to parenting after separation. Members’ feedback ensures that, as a large group, our message is more powerful and reaches a wider audience.

It is very important that as many people as possible get involved with this side of our work. There’s no need to be a member: Please click here to get involved.
